Writing A Promising Application - The CV

resume writing
The CV is next to the cover letter of most important documents in your file. Designed in a clear form, the resume’s objective is not only to inform about your identity, education, training, professional activities, special skills and abilities but also on non-occupational exposures and hobbies. It lets the hiring personnel get an idea on whom and what you are.

It is important for the CV to be clearly laid out. A clear CV sets the reader immediately to a familiar place. Writing more than three pages seem like overkill and enclosing it in a wrapper is often unnecessary unless the cover sheet is used as a design element and, at the same time, contains the necessary information.
The following structure has been proven in practice and can help you to develop how you write effective resumes.

Personal data

The most important element that you need to write in your letter is your personal data. You need to have a header which contains your name, address and contact information. You also need to include your nationality, civil status, age, and the number of children if you are married.

Professional activities

Start with the last and most recent job that you had. Include your position, duration of your job and the activities that you do on your previous jobs. Enter your data accurately in different columns.

Education and training

List your education and training qualifications as well as professional designations in a separate column. Choose carefully, which information you want to list on your CV including the length of training.

Special knowledge or skills

These include language skills, computer skills or special knowledge of the industry that might be useful in the job that you are applying for.

Non-work commitment

Potential employers are also interested in what skills and interests do have as a person. This completes your personality. List the organizations that you are a member of. Also list your hobbies but be careful about what you list in your CV.
Make the resume that will reflect you as who you are. A good CV will help you land on the job that you truly want.
